Losing a job hits your income, your confidence and your family all at once. We work on all three.

Jobs: temporary & permanent

We partner with MNCs and growing companies to place people into contract, project and permanent roles that match their skills. No fees for job seekers, ever.

Short-term support

For those in genuine need, a fixed monthly support amount for a limited period (up to a few months), paid directly to their bank account while they actively search.

Guidance & reskilling

Resume help, interview practice and mentoring from industry professionals who volunteer their time, so you walk into your next interview ready.

Support

I know the pain of losing a job. No one should have to face it alone.

Losing a job is more than a gap in your resume. It's the EMI that's due, the school fees, the silence at home, and the doubt that creeps in after every rejection.

I started HireTheFire because I have felt that pain. I believe that if every working professional gives a little (just ₹100 a month), together we can hold up the people who fall, until they're standing again.

We're building partnerships with companies across India so that a layoff becomes a turning point, not a dead end.

An appeal to every professional

Standing together through uncertain times

In today's volatile market, a layoff can reach any of us, whatever our role, experience or organisation. A sudden loss of employment should never be allowed to unravel a family's stability or a person's dignity.

As working professionals, we have both the ability and the responsibility to stand by one another. Alongside managing our own finances prudently and building personal safety nets, a modest, regular contribution to a shared fund (starting from just ₹100 a month, and as much more as you wish to give) can make a decisive difference to a fellow professional going through the most difficult phase of their career.

HireTheFire is built on a simple principle: when we support each other today, we are all supported tomorrow. The help you extend now may one day be the help that reaches you or someone you care about.

We sincerely invite employees of every organisation to join this movement as monthly contributors, volunteers or mentors. Together, we can ensure that no one has to face job loss alone.

FAQ

Questions

Is HireTheFire a registered NGO?

Our registration is in progress. We'll publish our registration details on this page once approved. Until then we are only collecting sign-ups and pledges, not money.

How much should I contribute?

The minimum is ₹100 a month. Beyond that, it's entirely up to you: contribute whatever you comfortably can, as much as you wish. Every rupee goes towards supporting people who have lost their jobs.

Does HireTheFire pay salaries?

Yes. Running this properly needs a small paid team: caseworkers who verify applications, coordinators who build company tie-ups, and accountants who keep us compliant. Their salaries come from the Operations Fund, capped at 15% of general contributions and supported by optional team add-ons and sponsors. Every salary is reported in our monthly accounts.

How much does the team earn?

We publish salary ranges for every role in our Careers section, from ₹18,000 to ₹40,000 a month depending on the role. Salaries are paid only from the Operations Fund, never from the Family Support Fund, and totals are shown in our monthly reports.

Can my company sponsor our team?

Yes. Companies and individual patrons can sponsor a staff role or our operating costs directly, so that more of every public contribution reaches families. Use the "Hire through us" form to get in touch.

Will my donation be tax-deductible?

We're applying for 80G approval. Once it's granted, donors will receive receipts they can use for tax deduction. We'll confirm before collecting any donation.

Who can get financial support?

People who have recently lost their job, can show proof of it, and are in genuine financial need. Support is a fixed amount for a limited period, and continues only while the person is actively looking for work.

Do I have to pay anything to register for jobs?

No. HireTheFire is completely free for job seekers.

Why are there Google ads on this site?

Ad income helps pay our operating costs, so more of every contribution reaches families. Ads are shown by Google and clearly labelled "Advertisement". Ad income is shown separately on our transparency dashboard.
